4. Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers, professional advisers, regulators, government bodies or other parties where this is necessary to provide a service, comply with law or protect legitimate interests. Where an external service provider processes information for QAS, reasonable steps should be taken to ensure appropriate confidentiality and security.
5. Hosting and cross-border processing
This website may be hosted by a provider with infrastructure outside South Africa. If personal information is processed outside South Africa, QAS will seek to use providers and arrangements that offer appropriate protection consistent with applicable law.
6. Retention and security
Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide services, or to comply with legal and record-keeping obligations. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask QAS to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, object to certain processing, or request deletion where QAS is not required to retain the information.
8. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please contact QAS first so we can try to resolve it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. See inforegulator.org.za for current contact and complaints information.
9. External services
If you choose to contact QAS using WhatsApp or another third-party service, that provider's own privacy terms also apply. QAS does not control how those platforms process information outside the information received by QAS.
